Republicans just aren’t mature, responsible, people. The party attracts pathological personalities.

And Trump made it “OK” to be a total asshole in public. (Or at least to a greater degree than Cruz, Rush, or some of the others made it so.) Which I think is what they really ate up and empowered the mob to act and expect to be rewarded by society for doing so.
