The sole Republican on my FB page claims that the bill had pork on it, packed on by Democrats. Admittedly I haven’t read the entire bill. For those who have, is there any truth to the above claim?

My friend’s claim:

I live in xxxxxxxx NY, and got hit pretty bad. Yet I can’t see what an Alaskan fishery, or remodeling the Smithsonian have to do with relief for my community. They did pass 9 billion in funds today, JUST FOR SANDY RELIEF, the way it should have been originally. Any shame should go to senate democrats who loaded the original bill with pork and sent it to the house.
