Help me here, but I don’t remember ANYONE in Europe bitching and moaning when Jordan STOLE East Jerusalem in 1948?

To be fair - in 1948 most of Europe was in no shape to bitch and moan about anything, they were trying not to slide back into yet another armed conflict.
!948 was the year Stalin blockaded Berlin, and General Cassius Clay started the Air Lift, so as not to have communism advance even further.
Elsewhere, people were still struggling to live on rations, and trying to rebuild.
