That’s the odd bit. We got here last Friday and every day has been between 10 and 14C. Today, 16C. No rain, mostly clear all week. Today is gorgeous, easily the clearest day so far, but the finest coating of grit is on everyhthing.

Almost everyone on a computer here is informing folks back home in the States that they are stuck. By the end of today, over 1 million people will be in the queue for flights, if they have not found other means of transport (ferries, Chunnel trains, &c). We don’t have that option, of course..

I just read something about how the disruption is the worst since 9-11, in terms of flight delays and shutdowns. Worse THAN 9-11, even, apparently.
