re: #787 VioletTiger

Did anybody get any crap from their neighbors about having the lights on last night? Some little moonbat children actually knocked on our door and asked us to turn off the lights. I politely told them I didn’t believe in global warming. Then my husband turned on the outside lights, too. I also noticed a couple of my neighbors had their houses lit up like Christmas trees. The guy next door decided he needed to barBQ at 9 last night and had his outdoor floods on.

Hmmm, these people need to be reminded of what the Dark Ages were like - when there was no electricity and that people had life expectancies that were half what they are now. All these folks complaining about the power usage are not exactly cutting back on their own usage, are they Mr. Gore? Mr. DiCaprio isn’t exactly going to give up his jetsetting ways or stop making movies? Those create far more carbon emissions than an Average Joe would create in a lifetime. So they really should spare me the hyped up outrage and ravings that I have to do something to reduce carbon emissions. Shut your trap if you want to lower emissions. Dump your own damned computer. Give up the LCD bigscreen tv and stop driving your own car. Let’s see you lead by example, instead of telling everyone else to do the hard and heavy lifting for you.

I’ve yet to see Gore take up teleconferencing rather than flying around the world to talk about global warming. There’s no amount of trees that could be planted to solve that.

Oh, and speaking of trees - they absolutely require carbon dioxide to survive and thrive. That’s how they produce oxygen, which WE breathe. Yet, the idiot courts have ruled that CO2 is a pollutant. Yeah, and oxygen is a pollutant of trees. Frakking idiots.

At the same time, scientists who study these things (as opposed to junk scientists who have an agenda to drive and wallets to fill), find that there are no seas rising as a result of any temperature changes, and that the computer models predicting these changes are just flat out wrong.

Funny how that happens.
