Voter ID can and has been used as a device for the GOP. But that is an abuse. Stop the abuse and you have one more HAVA provision taken care of. Many laws have been abused. We rarely remove the law, we seek to remove the abuse.

It’s an abuse in and of itself. It is a device of the GOP in and of itself. It serves no purpose except to disenfranchise minority voters. You are mistaken that it will result in more secure elections. It will result in fewer minority voters, which is its sole purpose. You have fallen for the rightwing hype. Please wise up.
