Indirectly, as in they only stayed in business because Chrysler and GM got bailouts. Wingnuts like to believe they could have weathered the storm if the other Big Two had collapsed, but nobody with an ounce of understanding about the industry believes that. One just has to point out that the CEO of Ford was before Congress the same day as his fellow CEOs, begging for the bailout on their behalf.
