With all the crying about how the Duggars (read: Jim Bob and his wife and Josh) are the victims here, the real victims continue to go unnoticed: those girls, who likely never got any kind of counseling to deal with what happened to them, who were likely told it was their fault, and who had to continue to live in the family home with the person who molested them.

You know the decision was made that they couldn’t get treatment outside the home because any medical or mental health professional would have been compelled to report this.

I have no words to express my disgust with these so-called “parents” and the people who continue to support them.

You know the old saw about how the older you get, the less you realize you didn’t know?

These last few years have really opened my eyes to how much of a fucking raw deal women get in general, and specifically in situations like sexual assault and its aftermath.
