The Fiorina thing is interesting to me. Fine, we know nobody gets everything they want in the legislative process, you have to get 217 people to agree on something, then 51 more people to agree on the exact same language, and then you need another person to sign off on it. But the unwillingness to even provide a baseline proposal is just, wow… I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that and I’ve been following politics since I was way too young (as a ten year old in 1988… yes, I probably need mental health services).
