That depends on how many people they choose to define as apostates (or heretics). If it’s only a few per week for spectacle, then it probably wouldn’t be too disruptive.

I’d bet about no Christian churches of any denomination would step in to help, partly because they wouldn’t care, and partly because they’d be afraid of being branded as apostates as well.
