We had a wake-up call nearly 50 ears ago and were even on the way to doing something about it until Reagan/GHW Bush and GW Bush did their best to get us back on the needle.

We weren’t ready at the time, so it was more token gestures meant to build into something meaningful over time back then. Today we could actually transition to solar and windmills since efficiency has gone up significantly.
