Funny thing, I was passing through the exact area where this douche parked his failed bomb just 30 minutes before it happened. Was admiring the canyon of buildings along 7th avenue and thinking how beautiful it all was. Odd that this should happen just then; thank God the attempt was so futile!

Life and death so often comes down to chance. On the day of the 7/7 bombings happened, I had planned to go into London for some sight-seeing. At the last minute I decided to stay in and watch an Australia/England cricket match. I sometimes wonder if I would have been riding the subway when the bombs went off otherwise.
