I was watching an episode of the Avengers cartoon earlier. Hulk throws something at an attack helicopter. You see a puff of smoke and, after that clears, a parachute drifting to earth. I laughed my ass off.

Old School G.I. Joe, machine guns, anti aircraft missiles, flame throwers, and every one bales out of their vehicle before it explodes.

I remember watching Robotech when it came on TV when I was a kid and freaking out because it showed characters dying all the time. It was awesome.
