The elevation of deliberate ignorance and stupidity to a virtue that movement conservatism has been pursuing for decades is eventually going to impair their ability to deal with the reality of elections.

Romney 2012 was a good example. May there be many more GOP failures of that kind.

Unfortunately the GOP has been having way more luck at the state level than at the Federal. There may be far fewer failures than you’re hoping for.
