“Them!” is one of my favorite atomic-mutation/big bad bug movies. Another one is, of course, “Tarantula”. I first saw that one when I was about 5 or 6 years old. Thankfully, I’ve never been arachnophobic.

Those old horror trailers just perfectly echo the modern paranoid mindset. “Humanity is doooomed! We have sinned against the natural law, and now our days are numbered!” The Them! trailer even has Santa Claus referencing Revelations.

Just another example of how the hard-core RWNJs are all trapped in the ’50s.
