Leftists unhappy with the Democratic Party should examine the example of the Tea Party, but first they need to understand: The Right always votes, and they always vote for the Republican candidate.

When the Tea Party arose, they didn’t try to start their own party, and they didn’t try to get the GOP to open their primaries to all comers. No, they put up their own candidates for primary races all up and down the ticket, all over the map. They scored some victories, and some losses, but despite the losses, they STILL voted for the Republican candidate, because The Right always votes, and they always vote for the Republican candidate..

Within one election cycle, they pretty much completely made over the Republican Party in their own image, so that even members of the GOP leadership who don’t agree with all the extreme positions have no choice but to fall in line.

The problem with the Left is they’re too lazy and too entitled to follow that example. They want the Democratic Party to GIVE THEM what they want, or they’ll let the GOP win. And they don’t vote reliably anyway. Sure, they helped win the White House for Obama in 2008, but where were they in 2010? Where were they in 2014? Where will they be in 2018.

We don’t need a third party. That never works. If Leftists want the Democratic Party to be more liberal, they have to shed their purity and VOTE, because The Right always votes, and they always vote for the Republican candidate.
