There was a Golden Age back when a man with little education or training could earn enough in the mines to buy a nice house, a nice truck and put his kids through school (if they did not knock up their high school sweethearts first).

They would rather insist that this Dream is going to return than to face the ugly reality that advancements in technology and energy generation have made coal mining a dying profession.

and if that’s what they’re waiting for they’ll have to keep on waiting. they acknowledge trump lied to them and he’s not bringing the jobs back. they dont know or care that they were and are being played.
