I ran a BBS way back when…
Use to take us 36 hours to get mail from me to the UK, it was amazing…

I had a friend of mine in high school who had a BBS running off an Apple IIgs for our senior computer programming class and associated nerds from our school. OH the flamewars. Some of which bled into the real world! Sort of like Facebook for the stoneage :D
