Heard about this on my drive home from work last night

The chief of the New York Police Department says city police could take down a plane if necessary.

I understand the “logic” but am a tad leery of cities having an arsenal that includes that much firepower

I mean, I’m sure there’s an air force/ national guard / coast guard facility close enough and trained better that should respond
