But extend the quote and put it in context. Coulter was comparing the situation to the church Obama went to, and how guilt by association is only applied to non-lefties. She doesn’t deny the group is racist, and uses it to make her point, if you read the chapter.

And her point is that if Democrats are willing to forgive Obama’s ties with Wright, that Repubs should be willing to forgive some conservatives’ and Republicans’ ties with white supremacists. Sorry, but I don’t buy that - and never will.
