No, this isn’t about the left. This is about us. What do we think we represent? What is moderate from that? This starts with our foundation. It needs repairs. Whatever other fixes we have in mind are meaningless without a solid base.

Look the recent data of people in both parties saying both parties are too far on their respective sides of the spectrum. The people want moderation. The people want fiscal responsibility and personal liberty. What are we as republicans to do with our own house right now?

Clean the Hell out of it. My position now is different than it was in 2004, 2006, or 2008, because the situation is different. We are out out OUT. We need a Mayflower Compact of sorts pledging the disparate groups within the “big tent” to A) hold certain lines on defense, and B) work together on a few points on offense. Won’t sign the document? Over the side you go.
