Walter I thought about you today. I was reviewing fellowship applications and one candidate requested money to produce a play about a theater set designer in Colorado. I am not kidding. He wanted money to have three readings and to travel to NYC to study in the Shubert theater archives.

And I bet the subject of the possible play was Henry Lowenstein. Not to name drop, but Henry is a good friend of mine. He even was at my wedding, many years ago. He is considered the grandfather of theatre in the Denver area.

He is also one of the kinderkids, the children that were smuggled out of Germany in the late 30’s to be placed in foster care in England.

Who is the playwright (if that’s public info)
