Well, I think the reason is that Soros is singled out— especially in the context of anything related to the holocaust— because he is a wealthy, politically powerful, liberal Jew.
I doubt that the writer of that article is going to have any sort of good reason for why the only financier of that group he mentions happens to be Soros.
I am emailing him, however. I’ll post any response I get.
There is a pattern of reportage on any group that receives funding from Soros, no matter what the proportion; they are reported as being “Soros-funded”, and few other sources, if any, are named. This gives the impression of Soros having a lot more political influence than he actually does.
His Jewishness has less to do with it than the fact that he is seen by many (including me) as far-left. He’s also made enough noise to be more well-known than mostly of the donors. So bringing up Soros is a way to tie matters to the far-left.
