They never had a SYG hearing so I don’t think that statute applies. Maybe they can still be granted immunity with a SYG hearing but I don’t know.

I’m not sure. Just read on buzzfeed with quotes from Florida legal experts saying that even though SYG wasn’t part of the defense, it could still be used in his defense at a civil case for wrongful death.
