I really, really, want the whole world to read Robert Caro’s series on LBJ. How LBJ stole the CRA from Nixon was a beautiful thing to learn about. Master Politician tactics and strategy.

I myself wonder if things would have been better if Nixon had won in 1960. Nixon might never have done that ‘pivot’. The Cuban Missile Crisis also likely would never have happened, since Khrushchev already knew he couldn’t bully Nixon.
