What the hell is happening to our country or has it always been this fucked up and we’ve just ignored it.

I think our inequities have always been compared to the rest of the world. As we’ve helped raise up the level of education and economic development in the rest of the world, our own standards are now really being challenged.

Wingnut heads are exploding because “American Exceptionalism” isn’t the standard anymore. Instead of moving forward, their answer is to declare war and ruin everyone else.
