my understanding has always been there is no statute of limitations on tax fraud (irs)

im not sure about NYS tax law

or what the rules might be on reopening a closed estate which has distributed all its assets

I think that some of these scams lasted for years, so who knows, but I’m sure that the state of NY is going to look into.
