Depression is so hard to talk about even to people who care. I ran into those boneheads back in a depression twenty years ago, and soon stopped trying to talk about it. I pretty much stopped talking, period. The depression lasted four agonizing years and I’m not sure how I survived.

I’ve been having chest pains for the last year. The heart checked out okay. I mentioned to my doctor my history of depression and anxiety. I’ve been on Lexapro for a few weeks now and feeling better. I guess that’s what it finally took for me to get help.
