I learned to drive in our family Oldsmobile: full size, demonstrator with every gadget known to man, and an engine capable of mach speed. Then my father helped me buy my first car, a black 1960 Corvair with an engine that blew an hour into owning it. We had it repaired, and it blew again, so I drove it to college at 10 mph until I had it paid off.

Then I got a 1967 white Camaro with red leather interior, and was off!
