That reminded me of the young lady (14) that was hit by a hockey puck at a Columbus Blue Jackets game back in 2003. When she was taken to the hospital she initially had a seizure and was admitted with tests, etc. The next day she was released but the docs at Children’s Hospital missed a torn artery. A day later she lost consciousness and died.

It led to a lawsuit and settlement with Children’s Hospital here in Columbus. It also led to a lawsuit with the NHL who I think settled and then put netting up in all (most) arenas at the ends by the goals.
