MSNBC’s Chris Hayes is being flamed on Twitter over dismissing the white supremacist signal given by a Trump staffer behind Judge Kavanaugh:

That tweet was overly glib on a serious topic, so I took it down. Yes, it’s used as an alt-right symbol. No, I do not think there is *any* evidence it was being “flashed” today in the hearing and I think people shouldn’t disseminate that claim or insinuation.
