Pat Buchanan has a new essay out lamenting the Virginia Governor’s flip flop on the Confederacy celebration thing… in which Buchanan takes up the familiar refrain:

Slavery was not the cause of this war. Secession was—that and Lincoln’s determination to drown the nation in blood if necessary to make the Union whole again.

They’ll never give up on this. Ever.
