I think that his Jewishness has a lot to do with it for a large number of people who attack him, as can be seen from the LaRouche and holocaust revisionist links that Mandy has posted that attack him.

I do think that for a lot of people it is ‘only’ his position as a liberal, though he is not in the least bit far-left. He’s about where Warren Buffett is in terms of politics. I do agree he’s used as some sort of figurehead for the left. I am saying that doing so is completely inaccurate and that, sadly, many times the attacks on him by antisemites are picked up by and run with those who’s problem with him is ideological.

Fair point. I’m still not a fan of his and I maintain for the present that he is far-left, but I will try to keep an open mind.
