In this fiscal mess, I think spending reform is edgy enough.

Come on now, what does that even mean?

Anyway, X reform is politically boring, no matter how virtuous it might be. Isn’t Obama all about “spending reform”? After, y’know, that gigantic deficit he inherited? After Bush and Cheney and the Republicans had things their own way for the last fifty years?

I’m very much afraid that we are doomed to have much more government involvement, federal government involvement, in many areas of the economy and life. This can be good news, that we CAN do things like national health care. So, let’s do it *right*. Vote for Republicans as better managers.
