NC education is already suffering at the hands of the Republican General Assembly, who are largely money-whores after Big Money donors, but now, this. We’ll end up like TX before it’s over.

Don’t worry. The teachers in NC will do what teachers do in TX…ignore it, not use the approved textbooks, and teach what their students need to learn to not be ignorant rednecks. And the principals will look the other way.

My husband teaches AP Government and Economics. If there’s something he has to teach for a state test (rare) he will tell the students, “Our dumbass State Education Board says I have to teach this. Here is the answer for the test. It is complete bullshit and you are to forget it the minute that test is done. Or you will look and sound like a moron for the rest of your life.”

He is much, much beloved by his students.
