I had occasion to read a typical wingnut rant the other day. Once you read one of these stream-of-consciousness, free- association, seething rage screeds nothing one of these people does will surprise you. If we let them they WILL turn this country into something very, very ugly. Their “thoughts” consist of hundreds of trigger names, words, and phrases all thrown in a pot with stock made of bile, bubbling and stewing together. And this includes people who you’d otherwise think are perfectly nice and sane. Fox News and the right wing propaganda machine has primed millions of “good” people to fear, hate, and be willing to accept atrocities in order to “protect” themselves and feel safe.
