Heard some interviews with him when he was embedded in Iraq, and he seemed to be behind the effort and doing a real good job of reporting. That is to say, his reports did include some actual facts, which were scarce from the other lot.

He’s mellowed with age I suppose. He does have a rather leftist view on immigration but given were he started from it’s probably conservative compared to were he began.
