Again it is a lie to assert that there is not accurate temperature data before 1850. Thermometers were very well in use by the early 1700’s and ships kept logs religiously as did tens of thousands of amateur local naturalists, and the scientific societies of Britain, France, America and Germany. The technology of a thermometer is not complicated.

To claim that these measurements do not exist is simply a lie.

Temperature measurements were something of a consuming interest in the eighteenth century.
