Oh my. Well my old house was like a pet cemetery. I lived on a crest of a hill that people loved to zoom zoom past. I had 2 raccoons, 3 cats and 2 dogs buried on my little 2000 square foot property because I was the “lucky” one to be around at each accident. Talk about gruesome.

This one is particularly hard because I’ll never have another pet like this (we have 5 cats and a dog still). He was amazingly sweet. In fact, when he was a stray, he constantly got the crap beaten out of him so I called him Hector Macho Camacho hoping that it would give him some tough mojo. (Macho the Cat was a skinny little guy too).

You just reminded me of the loss of one of my cats. Spider was my kids cat, he bonded to him as a kitty and followed him around like a puppy.
He’d wait for him to come home outside until he got off work late at night. One night Spider rushed out into the driveway as he was pulling in and he ran over the poor thing. It took me a few days to find the body in the bushes nearby. My 19 year old was so devastated that he had to take the day off work.
The funny thing is, he was a black cat that liked to ride on the kids shoulder, so we latter choose another black and sure enough, he took to following the kid around and riding on his shoulder. That took some of the pain away, because we just figured Spider was just taking another lap at life.
