Pretty sure that street hasn’t changed much in 20 years. :) But that’s Takayama’s historical section. Don’t know if you made it up there while you were in Japan (although it’s reasonably close to Tokyo).

I was stationed down in Yokosuka. I did get up to Tokyo quite a bit, but I was usually up there dating my wife, so we hit clubs, theaters, etc. We did hit Yomiuri Land amusement park once or twice.
