Asian food? China attacked the US on December 7? What kind of misinformed asshat is Erickson to believe that claptrap? Who does he think he is? Blutarsky?

Wait, I just answered my own question. Erickson is Blutarsky.

Japan attacks the US on December 7, 1941, so his family’s response is to not eat any Asian food on the day. Except that for most Americans, the only Asian food they’d come into contact for decades wasn’t Japanese food, but Chinese food.

And China’s one of those countries that Japan invaded (and committed war crimes against for that matter). It’s only in the last few years that someone could find all manner of Asian food - from Japanese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, Malaysian, etc., to say nothing of regional Chinese.

Leave it to Erickson to conflate all Asian food for purposes of being a slack-jawed yokel.
