just a point: jesus did not teach the inherent goodness of humanity. he thought we were all a bunch of degenerates and that he was fulfilling a messianic prophecy designed to salvage the Jews from the Fall. Doesn’t mean he wasn’t kind to people and didn’t believe in loving one’s neighbor as oneself, but he certainly didn’t believe in the “inherent goodness” of anybody.
