Dragonlance campaign. We had a minotaur gladiator charge a green dragon, deliver 86 points of damage in a single hit and it was still up. It was me, then the dragon. So the noble bard swings his sword, barely hits and scratches the dragon for 1 points. The dragon fell over dead. It only had 87 hit points and it passed its system shock roll for massive damage.

Of course, history recorded the tail as the noble bard defeating the dragon with his faithful, but somewhat dim, minotaur companion, because hey, are you going to belief the talking cow or the charming half elf with a ring of human influence and a skill specialization in story telling?
