That’s Washington talk heh but yes it is. It strikes me as interesting that supposedly anti tax Republicans have no problem with a really high national sales tax. I actually think the better policy would be to have a small or no sales tax and replace the lost revenue with a smaller income tax. A low sales tax is arguably good for consumers.

Adjust tax rates so executives are penalized for taking those huge bonuses and stock options, making them less worthwhile, and instead make paying their employees better business sense, by giving the majority of people the means to drive economic growth and sales, not a few people hoarding wealth and hiding it in hedge funds and offshore accounts.
