Had to put my cat down today. My incontinent kitty. He wouldn’t eat or drink and he couldn’t stand anymore. I’m so sad. I had him 16 years and was full grown when I found him. What a cat. He was so sweet. He mothered all other other kitties, cleaned their ears and coats. Always had a greeting when we came home. Loved to kiss and cuddle, like a puppy. Ack, I’m gonna start crying again.

I’m so sorry. Am going down that road now, found out last week that my dog Penny has systemic mast cell cancer with lots of lung infiltration. She’s responding to the meds for now, but they pretty much just deal with the symptoms. It’s a matter of months or less now. Got her as a stray ten years ago, she had been abandoned after having given birth, she was in bad shape and very hand shy, obviously abused. She is very sweet and affectionate but still has some trust issues with new people.

It seems to suck more the more you care too, that is just so goddamned unfair.
