It’s an enormous amount of work, and even if Luke made it thru the course, search and rescue can involve things like earthquake rubble rescue - I wouldn’t do that to a dog with a busted knee. Even the healthiest dogs can get exhausted.

That’s one reason the military trains their dogs in Texas. It’s hot and they have to show they have the stamina.
