I think that saying your door is always open, and actually having your door always open, are two different things. Regardless, neither of those is a concrete example of Obama reaching across the aisle and getting slapped for it.

And, saying things like “I won” and “we don’t need no talking” and “we can pass it without the Republicans” tend to put a crimp in the whole bipartisan vibe too. The Republicans have not be forthcoming either, but it takes two to tango. If the other side don’t want to dance…what can you do?
