New in pages: Lubbock student shot dead at Falwell’s Liberty U.

An honor student from Lubbock was shot and killed by a Liberty University police officer early this morning. The shooting happened in a women’s residence hall after the male student reportedly attacked the officer with a hammer. The dead student, one Joshua Hathaway, was salutatorian at Lubbock’s Southcrest Christian High this spring and was attending Liberty on a Fulbright scholarship.
