So I discovered that some significant figures in evangelical apologetics - such as William Lane Craig and Michael Licona - actually doubt the historicity of the “resurrection of saints” narrative in Matthew 27:

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

But that’s not the most curious part. It’s the fact that they think this doubt is compatible with biblical inerrantism.
