Sad but true. It should be kept in mind that Terry is an extreme megalomaniac who thrives on even tiny amounts of publicity, negative or otherwise. It feeds his ego and confirms that people are paying attention to him.

In the Amish community, shunning - the practice of refusing to acknowledge the very existence of a transgressor - is considered the sternest of punishments. If nothing else, I would expect Terry to react by increasing the vitriol in his rhetoric, perhaps to the point where he utters a direct, prosecutable call to action.
